#Teaching moderator for 2021 AIGA DEC Virtual Summit: SHIFT-ED

Served the second annual virtual summit as a #teaching moderator charged with guiding more than 1200 design educators in asynchronous conversations around teaching topics, methods, and presentations.
The online event, August 2–6, 2021, was made possible with community experts leading online discussions. Online moderators made an enormous difference in the quality and consistency of discussion. Moderators helped the community feel safe on the digital platform and promoted consistent scholarly dialogue. This online space continues to be a building block for AIGA DEC’s Slack channels and online conversations. These collaborative efforts help the community influence long-term conversations.
