DRS Bilbao

In June 2022, I presented Where do we go from here? Rethinking the design studio after the Covid-19 pandemic at Design Research Society’s conference DRS 2022 in Bilbao, Spain. This paper was presented with colleagues Anne Galperin, Karin Jager, Lesley-Ann Noel, and Saskia van Kampen. In this work, we apply a reflective framework to discuss the design studio’s who, what, when, where, and why; and how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted it and the future of design education at North American universities.
