I am thrilled to announce that I will participate in the UCDA Design Education Summit: Same/Difference. I will present the paper Between Practice, Pedagogy, and Place: How Auto-Ethnographic Reflection Can Guide Design Educators in a Divided Country. I have co-authored this paper with Dave Pabellon, Assistant Professor of Design at Columbia College Chicago.
I will also serve on the panel Beyond the Paperwork: A discussion on better-assisting students with disabilities in the creative classroom. This panel is chaired by Natalie Tyree, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Western Kentucky University. The panel will also feature Kent Kerr, Assistant Professor at West Virginia University; Katie Krcmarik, Assistant Professor at Illinois State University; and Bert Stabler, Assistant Professor at Illinois State University.
The event will occur at the School of Art at Bowling Green State University, in Bowling Green, Ohio, May 22–23, 2023.
