Contributing designer to Discarded: Reflections of a Pandemic

Collaborative visual narrative highlighting the “waste” of a tumultuous time—presenting 686 images of discarded PPE, 23 participant responses, and 26 photos of discarded PPE.

Profits from sales will go to Greenpeace in recognition of the environmental impact that our discarded PPE will have on our world. My piece responded to the cultural privileges that underpin our social inequities. The pandemic did not create these inequities yet magnified them. Minority populations and lower-class individuals were classified as essential workers and carried a disproportionate weight in maintaining class structures.
